What Services Do You Offer?
INDIVIDUAL THERAPY: If you are struggling with anxiety, burnout, or chronic stress, individual therapy can help you to increase self-awareness and find your path to healing. This may mean exploring questions of identity, healing wounds from childhood, improving self-confidence, navigating life transitions, becoming more safely embodied, fully embracing your sexuality, learning how to engage in consistent self-care, or stopping compulsive behaviors. Our therapists can help you to identify what's keeping you from a more fulfilled and joyful life. Our therapists are experienced with addressing clinical anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD/neurodivergence, and other psychological issues, as well as evaluating how chronic pain or illness may be impacting your mental health. If you are feeling overwhelmed or hopeless, we can help you to find clarity and empowerment for change.
RELATIONAL/SEX THERAPY: If you are experiencing entrenched conflict in your relationship, or feel stuck in disconnection and emotional distance, relational/sex therapy can help you find your way back to joy and intimacy. When you can’t seem to understand each other’s perspectives, our therapists can help you with practical, solution-oriented tools to improve communication, regain trust, and reconnect. Our therapists work frequently with "non-traditional" relationship structures, including ethical non-monogamy, BDSM, and those who identify as LGBTQIA. We help partners navigate mixed orientation relationships and transitions into new agreements and expectations. As a sex therapist, Indigo is experienced in addressing difficulty with arousal/orgasm, sexual pain/discomfort, physiological shifts after childbirth/menopause, compulsive sexual behaviors, the impact of trauma on sexuality, and other sex specific issues. Whether or not sex feels central to the relationship problems you are experiencing, our therapists always include the discussion of sex in the therapeutic process. Sexuality is a core aspect of self which deserves attention and integration, even when you may be transitioning to a partnership less focused on sex.
AASECT SUPERVISION/CASE CONSULTATION: Indigo is available as a primary or secondary individual supervisor in your process towards becoming an AASECT certified sex therapist. She specializes in non-normative populations, including ENM and BDSM, and with somatic skills integration. Her supervision style includes engaging supervisees with supplementary tools/skills parallel to their core training in the required areas of sex therapy competency, including sexual compulsivity, sexual functioning, sexual pain, and sexual trauma. Case consultation is also available for clinicians who feel stuck regarding cases which may be beyond their scope of practice or specialty area.
How often should I attend therapy?
We typically work with clients weekly or every two weeks. Your therapist can help you to establish frequency, however you control the cadence of your therapeutic journey through easy to utilize online scheduling.Ongoing therapeutic relationships can be helpful at a maintenance frequency of every 4-6 weeks. This allows therapy to again be intensified if new life stressors occur or progress on initial goals begins to falter. You may terminate therapy or take a break from sessions at any time.
What is your scheduling availability?
Indigo is available for appointments Wednesday through Saturday from 11:30-6:30.Jason has limited availability in his private practice and is only accepting new clients on Wednesdays from 9:00-2:00.
Our practice is frequently at capacity. Please contact the provider you wish to see directly to inquire about whether they are accepting new clients at this time.
What are your rates?
$205 - 50 minute individual session. Longer appointments available upon request.$295 - 80 minute relational session. Typically relational work is best accomplished with 80 minute appointments. If a full 80 minute session is not utilized, appointments will be prorated for 65 or 50 minutes.
$185 - 50 minute case consultation or AASECT supervision with Indigo.
Do you offer free consultations?
Yes, we offer free 15-20 minute video consultations to answer any questions and determine whether the therapeutic relationship is a good fit. Consultation and completion of intake paperwork is required prior to scheduling a full session. We ask that for relational consultations all potential clients are on the consultation call, if possible. To schedule a consultation, reach out to one of us directly via email to inquire about whether we are currently accepting new clients.Do you accept insurance?
Our therapists are not in-network providers and do not work directly with insurance companies. Insurance invoices (also called “superbills”) are available upon request for FSA/HSA accounts and out-of-network coverage. If you submit a superbill to your insurance company, they may reimburse you for a portion of our counseling fees, depending on the mental health coverage of your insurance plan. What is your cancellation policy?
We ask for 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment in order to avoid being charged for the missed session. While we understand that illness and other conflicts may arise, your appointment time has been reserved for you and cannot be utilized for other clients on short notice.Do you offer a sliding scale?
We no longer offer sliding scale or reduced rate options. To find a sliding scale therapist visit Open Path Collective. Or for reduced rate sex therapy visit The Cannon Institute. Can I attend teletherapy from out-of-state?
Due to licensure requirements, you must be located within the state of Colorado when attending teletherapy with Indigo. You must be located within Colorado or Wyoming when attending teletherapy with Jason. AASECT supervision and case consultation may be conducted from any location. Can my partner and I attend therapy from separate locations?
Partners should attend therapy from the same location and on a single computer screen whenever possible to ensure effective therapy. This limits technological issues and allows you to interact physiologically with one another while processing vulnerable and emotional subject matter. Occassional sessions from separate locations are possible. Please notify your therapist before any necessary distance sessions occur.Do you offer in-person sessions?
We have transitioned all of our clients to a Simple Practice virtual platform and are not planning to offer in-person services again at this time. Through telehealth we have been able to serve clients from across Colorado and Wyoming who would not otherwise have been able to attend therapy with us. Research shows that online therapy is as effective as in-person therapy, with the added benefits of zero commute and conducting therapy from an emotionally safe and familiar location. Read here to learn more about the benefits of virtual therapy and how to optimize a virtual therapeutic context. What is Simple Practice?
Simple Practice is a streamlined and easy to utilize virtual platform for our services. Their secure, cloud-based practice management software allows our clients to submit paperwork, access invoices/superbills, adjust payment method, schedule appointments, and attend telehealth sessions all in one place.what is my right to a good faith estimate?
Beginning January 1, 2022, all healthcare providers, including private pay mental health facilities, are required to provide a Good Faith Estimate document to patients who do not have insurance or opt to not use their insurance (self-pay). Although therapy costs and typical frequency are listed on this page, you also have the right to request a Good Faith Estimate document from your provider during your initial consultation or at any time during the course of your treatment. This document will provide an estimate of therapy costs for up to 12 months. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate you may dispute those charges with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). If you choose to use the dispute resolution process, you must start the dispute process within 120 calendar days (about 4 months) of the date on the original bill. There is a $25 fee to initiate a dispute process.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate or the dispute process, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 368-1019.
